LINCOLN
Meet Lincoln! He’s the inspiration behind our mascot, and the sweetest Formosan Mountain dog who ever was. Although he’s no longer with us, he lives on through our mascot. To us, he represents the beauty and personal connection that comes with being rooted in history, the deeply cared for and beloved. This community is all about finding things that can mean as much to you as Lincoln does to us.
Our mission is to bring clothing we’re interested in to you. We hope you can find the same interest and nerd out on the details whether a garment is new or old. We strive to be a place of knowledge and to help you find the information about clothing you’re interested in as well.
TYLER
My story starts at a young age, I’ve always been into clothing, whether it’s Jordans and streetwear to learning about raw denim and boots, Casios to fine watches like Zenith and many things in between. I’ve always been cognizant of who I am, my personal style and the things I collect. As I’ve gotten older I realized I want my possessions to last and be made with quality and longevity in mind.
Bundok sprung out of my obsession with finding the right pair of Boondocker boots. It begins with a pair of Skoob M43 boots, kindness and learning about my heritage. For those who don’t know the word Bundok in Tagalog means Mountain. In WWII, American Soldiers gave their boots the nickname “Boondockers” in reference to the mountains they trekked in the Philippines. This gave me inspiration for our name.
My mission is to share my obsession and interests with others who have likeminded ideals and love for things that will stand the test of time. In addition I want to house information and to teach people about the history of where our clothing and words like Bundok come from.
KYLE
My cousin Tyler invited me to join because he knows I share in his passion for clothing with a human connection. I strongly feel that we, as people, should be buying clothing not just for aesthetics, but because of the story and legacy behind them. Our fashion landscape is full of fast fashion products that exist to last only as long as the latest fad. We want to bring the opposite: enduring items that can be repaired and enjoyed for a lifetime. And maybe even more importantly, clothing that you will become attached to and want to keep for a lifetime.
My hope is that when browsing our site, you’ll enjoy how things appear on the page and imagine how they might look on you. Then, once you actually hold, wear, and feel the clothing, you’ll become attached. As you accumulate scars, repairs, and patina, you may even love them more than you started. We want the emotional durability to be just as good as the physical durability, because in the end, we are consumers of meaning, not matter.
