Studio d’Artisan 4618 Kakishibu Noragi Sashiko Coach Jacket

This coach jacket is woven from a 100% cotton jacquard fabric that recreates traditional *noragi* (workwear) sashiko stitching entirely through dyeing and weaving technique — no embroidery required. Studio D'Artisan layered three distinct shades of kakishibu-dyed yarn to create the checkered pattern, adding depth and dimension to the fabric. Kakishibu is persimmon tannin dye, a substance woven into Japanese culture since the 13th century — historically used as wood lacquer and even as a folk hangover cure. It ages beautifully over time, deepening in color with UV exposure and wear.
